This photo is of a trust building activity that we did at drill. It is 2 x 4 with rope handles. The challenge is for two teams to see which team gets to the finish line first.
I used a new paper called Classic Columns Solar White behind the photo. I love that the paper has great texture. The red is Basis Red. Both are from Paper Temptress. The sketch is Unscripted Sketches. I used Guiding Light from Gina K.

Graduation
Ok, I have suprised myself because I got photos scrapbooked only a month after the event. I used the new wonderful 12 x 12 Basis Light Blue as the base. The text box is Sparkle Mangue& Incandescent Candino. The photos are framed by Galaxy Gold. I used Studio G stamps and Studio G ink on the top and bottom borders. I traced the images with a clear glitter pen. The ribbon and brads are from my stash. The stamp about the photos is Clear Dollar Stamp. The photo with the grads sitting is Katie as a little girl on the screen. The school does a silde show of each of the graduates showing pictures from the beginning till now. I just can't believe time has flown so quickly.

All paper is from Paper Temptress

Greetings Card
I made some more DP. I hope to share later the differences I found in using different papers. The main panel is Heavy Heavy Heavenly White 180# from Paper Temptress. I used Espresso, Butterscotch and Aqua Alcohol inks on the large panel. The small panel is a mix of Espresso and Willow. In the corners are Pez A Blings. All the Alcohol Inks and Pez A Blings can be found at Pez A Doodle. I used Studio G inks on this card. I am amazed at how wonderfully these inks work with clear stamps. I get clear and perfect inkings everytime I use them. I have tried cheaper inks before and have been unhappy. I was leerey to try Studio G inks but I heard great things and I figured for a dollar, I didn't have much to loose. I have pre ordered the new colors coming in August from Pez A Doodle. The new colors Studio G have coming out are wonderful. There is even a metallic set. If you have not been to Marti's blog lately, Go see the wonderful new skittles. She has some amazing colors and some amazing picture ones to match current stamps and upcoming stamps.

Red, White, and Blue Stuidio G Challenge
I created a fun page for my nephew. I am making a scrapbook for him and my niece for Christmas using up extra photos I have. I used the lollipop stamp for the circles. I painted Ruby Red Liquid pearls on the circle and then stamped with Faded Blue Jeans Distressed ink. To give it more shine, I clear embossed the circle. This fits the scrapbook sketch on Stamp TV. All paper is from my scrap pile. All the supplies except paper can be found at Pez A Doodle.
My daughter Katie took part in the challenge too and created this fun card. The Belli challenge is patriotic Theme this week.

Star Page
Paper Temptress now carries 12x12 paper. I prefer to scrapbook 12x12 for myself. The base is Basis Blue. I stamped using different star stamps in Studio G red and blue and Color box White. The strips are Sparkle Vermillion and Sparkle Noir. The stars are punched with an EK Sucess punch. The paper is Sparkle Vermillion and Saphire Metallic. I used Pez A Blings from Pez A Doodle on the corners and bottom of white journaling box. The white is Sparkle Blanc.
Here is a closeup of the journal box.

184th Card Drive & Blog Candy
Editor's note- I would love to have you send me a filled out card for the 184th. Just email me for my address. I will have pictures of the blog candy next week. I will have two blog candies for all that send me cards. One will be for kids (anyone under 18) and one for all over 18.
I have been asked what type of cards. I am thinking about a thank you or thinking of you card that you put a note for the soliders. Just remember this unit is an all male unit. If you want to send some blank cards (birthday, thinking of you, etc) that is fine and I will send them also.
Editors Note: I have an emergancy trip so I will be unable to post the blog candy. I hope to when I get back.
Have you ever wondered about our military reserves and what they do for us? These men and women join up to help protect us and our way of life. But what does that mean exactly?
Well, my family is lucky enough to have a good friend in the Reserves. He is a member of the 184th Battalion of the Army Reserve unit from California. There are 300 men in his unit. At the moment they are stationed in Kosovo and will be there until December. We decided to ask him about it. This is what he told us.
"Why do we have troops in Kosovo? The continuing mission of our soldiers is to ensure a safe and secure environment (SASE) in Kosovo and maintain freedom of movement for all people in our area.
What role does our unit play over there? To conduct patrols, observation points, and roving checkpoints to interdict contraband and to support the Kosovo Police."
Think about that. These men are over there to help this country for us. We have asked them to put their lives on the line to protect us by making sure that freedom is kept even in other countries! Wow, this is amazing! And I, for one, am so proud of these men and women.
Here is a link if you would like to know more about the 184th Battalion.
http://www.tffalcon.hqusareur.army.mil/index.htm
So I want to do something for them. Being out of the country means that they are away from their families and friends and I want to bring a little spot of brightness to them. So I’ve decided to send their unit a box of cards and I need your help to do it. There are 300 men in this unit and I’d really like it if we could come up with enough cards so each soldier can have one. Are you with me?
God Bless!

Relaxing
Digi Shack had its first release chat and challenges on SNR. This card fills the challenge of combinging images in new ways. I used Chillax and Gerber Daisy. The image Chillax usually has the guy on an intertube in the water. My first thought was to put him on a bed of flowers but I printed the flowers bigger than I thought. I used Neenah Clasic Cret Solar White, Gumdrop Green and Heavenly White UItrasmooth from Paper Temptress. The saying is a Studio G Stamp. The sun and bird are stamps from Spring Scenes from Sweet n Sassy.
Other news- I found a new Digital Stamp company called Sassy Studio Designs. They are having a DT call and a free Digital image on their blog.
Marti has released the new Studio G stamps, inks and glitters available for pre-order in Pez A Doodle store

Father Day's Card 2
I am having so much learning how to use Ranger's Alcohol Inks. I used Butterscotch and Espresso to create the paper for the t-shirt. The paper for the t-shirt is Ranger's Glossy Paper. I put a puddle of Blending Solution and put drops of inks in the puddle. I then put the paper on top of the mix. I like being able to make your own paper. For the check paper, I rubbed it with Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy. You can find the inks at Pez A Doodle. I used Pez A Blings for the corners. The base is Tan and the Red is Red Crepe from Paper Temptress. If you haven't gone to Marti's blog, go now to get the free digi and see the wonderful challenge she has using the free digi. The prize is to receive all the new stamps that will be released in the next few weeks.

Red & Blue Thank You
Marti has a wonderful sketch for a challenge on the Studio G Group on Paper Craft Planet.
I created the paper using the Distress Ink Faded Blue Jeans & Distress Ink Worn Lipstick rubbed on Heavenly White Ultra smooth from Paper Temptress. I then punched out the flowers with the Big Shot. I used Pez A Blings in the centers. I cut one flower up and glued the petals on the cardstock. The red and blue strips are the new wonderful crepe paper from Paper Temptress.

Pez A Doodle Friday
All stamped images are from Hambo. I stamped with Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy and colored using a Blender Pen from SU and Distressed Ink Brushed Corduroy. The DP is from DCVW Fun in the Sun Summer Glitter stack. I used dew drops on the sides. I created the paper by using Tim Holtz Alcoholic Inks Aqua, Watermelon and Denim. I used Pearl mixative to give it a little shimmer. It is so much fun creating your own DP. I got al my inks and tools from Pez A Doodle. Marti is offering free shiping on orders over $50 til next June 17.
Gina has a great video showing how to make your own DP on Stamp TV.

Red & Blue Flower Card
I used Sweet n Sassy's Sketch Challenge for the layout. I got a chance to play with the Distress Inks. I swiped the Faded Blue Jeans and Worn Lipstick on my mat ant then used a mini mister and sprayed the inks with watter. The paper on the left and white is is Heavy Heavy Heavenly White from Paper Temptress. This paper has a real smooth feel. When I pressed the paper in the inks it gives the paper more of a water colored look. The middle is the new White Crepe. The colors are stronger on this paper. I love the different looks. Once dry I stamped with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I used Doodle flowers and Encouragement from Sweet n Sassy. I put Pez A Bling in the center of the flowers and on the bottom right corner. I used Dew Drops around the saying.

Pink Page
I created this page using a sketch challenge at Stampin Out Alzheimer's. I had such fun creating this page. It took a few days because I would work on it then get stuck so I would put it aside for awhile. I used Fred, Shed Said Flowers printed on Sparkle Card stock from Paper Temptress. I used dew drops on the words. The title says Enough Already. It didn't photo well since the color I printed with is light.
Here is a close up of the flower and one of the butterflies. I cut the butterflies using a die for the Big Shot. I then sponged with Distress Ink, Worn Lipstick, Distress Ink Antique Linen and Distress Ink Corduroy.

Black Page
Here is a close of the Black Crepe Paper. I was amazed at how well stamps look on this paper. The paper has a wonderful texture to it.
I used Black Crepe Paper, White Crepe Paper and Grey Crepe Paper for this 8 x 8 scrapbook page. Guiding Light from Gina K is the stamp set that I used. The Crepe paper is new to Paper Temptress. It comes in many colors. I will have more projects with this wonderful paper later in the week. Patricia has added 12 x 12 paper to the store and it comes in some of the wonderful papers that are 8 1/2 x 11.
