Beach Page

Teal Grandee is the base. I just love the texture of this paper. The flowers were stamped with Versamark ink and then embossed. I used Frost White Shimmer Paint to color the flowers. I mixed the paint with a little bit of water to give it more a watercolor effect. The mat behind the pictures and flowers under the title are creamy iridescent paper that I can not remember the name of. The ribon is SU. The last touch was to add Pez A Blings to the photo.
This page was created for Stamp TV's last weeks scrapbook challenge.

Monterey
Scrap and Stamps challenge this week was open. Just stamp on your layout. I stamped the Basis Light Blue with shells from Sea side by Flourishes using Distress Ink Antique Linen. The title was created on the computer and printed on Kraft. I used a rope stamp from Guiding Light by Gina K. The images were stamped with Versamark and then clear embossed. I did the same with the shells which are on Columns Brown and Kraft. The open space is for writing.

Flourishes Sketch Challenge
Flourishes is releasing new stamps Friday night. Their challenge was to create a card following their sketch for a chance to win all the new stamps. I used Mixed Greetings stamp set. The bowl was stamped with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and the letters were inked with Faded Blue Jean Distress Ink. The images are stamped on Silver Lustre. I love the shine of this paper but it makes it hard to get a descent photo. The black is black crepe. I punched 3 ovals of SU retired DP to create my scallop border. http://flourishesnewsletter.blogspot.com/2009/09/feel-of-fall-let-fun-begin.htmlRecipe-

Flower Card
I got a chance to ink up a stamp set that I have had for a bit. Nasturtiums from Flourishes is such a beautiful set. I call it the funny name stamp because I can't correctly pronounce the name. I stamped the image with Memento Black on Poison Ivory Iridescent. I colored with Twinkling H2Os.
The saying is part of the set. The ribbon is from Michael's. I used Skittles in the top corner and Pez A Blings on the ribbon. Both embellishments are from Pez A Doodle. The rest of the papers are from my scrap bin.

Pocket Card

This card was an accident. I started this card for another project but it just wasn't working. When I sat down to work on Flourishes By the Sea Challenge, this card just fit. The colors remind me of sand and water. Sorry the pictures aren't great. I am still learning how to get the lighting correct. By accident, this card fits Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge to pop it up.
I used SU DP (don't know name). The other papers used are Neenah Classic Crest, Plasma Blue Iridescent, and Virtual Ivory Iridescent from Paper Temptress. I used Thinking You stamp set from Flourishes. I stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

Greetings Card
I made some more DP. I hope to share later the differences I found in using different papers. The main panel is Heavy Heavy Heavenly White 180# from Paper Temptress. I used Espresso, Butterscotch and Aqua Alcohol inks on the large panel. The small panel is a mix of Espresso and Willow. In the corners are Pez A Blings. All the Alcohol Inks and Pez A Blings can be found at Pez A Doodle. I used Studio G inks on this card. I am amazed at how wonderfully these inks work with clear stamps. I get clear and perfect inkings everytime I use them. I have tried cheaper inks before and have been unhappy. I was leerey to try Studio G inks but I heard great things and I figured for a dollar, I didn't have much to loose. I have pre ordered the new colors coming in August from Pez A Doodle. The new colors Studio G have coming out are wonderful. There is even a metallic set. If you have not been to Marti's blog lately, Go see the wonderful new skittles. She has some amazing colors and some amazing picture ones to match current stamps and upcoming stamps.

Japanese House
Ok I need help to finish this card. This house is a digital image fromSquigglefly. I colored with Twinkling H2O's and chalked the background. The flowers were stamped from Thinking of You set from Flourishes.I want to add a saying with this house. The only thing that comes to mind is my house is your house but I can't find a way to make the saying in Japanes. I know the spanish version but that won't help. If you know how to translate it, could you help me? Also, if you can come up with something else, I would love it.

Chair Sceene
Ok, I am not sure about this card. I think the chairs are too small. I should of used a smaller bird. The yellow behind the bird is fabric. My mom is a quilter and she lets me take her scraps. I am trying to make myself use stuff and not just save it for something special. The DP is SU. Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge this week was to use your favorite set. I choose Chairs for You.

Pink Daffodil
Flourishes Friday Focus was to use paper piecing on your card. Faith showed how she paper pieced her flower. I wouldn't have thought to paper piece a flower but I love how this opens up so many options for flowers. I used Spring for You. from Flourishes. The backfround is vellum embossed with the dots folder. The little pink flower above the Happy Easter is Studio G. Pez a Doodle has a wonderful set of Studio G stamps for an amazing price.

I need to get my scrap pile down again so I will have some interesting cards because who knows what I will find. I used Thinking of You and Chairs for You from Flourishes. The inks are Sunflower Yellow, Gamma Green and Pearlescent Rust from Brilliance ink. I got mine from Pez A Doodle.I am having so much fun learning how to use Photoshop. I will be playing with many different watermarks as I learn how to use the program.

Sweet Easter

Timeless Tuesday with Flourishes this week is to emboss either dry or wet. I did both. I embosed the daffodil in black and colored it with Twinkling H2O's and water color pencils. I used Sweet DP from DCWV. I learned how to tie the ribbon following Leslie's directions. Go to her blog to see how she ties a bow.

Yellow Daffodils
This week the challenge on Flourishes Timeless Tuseday challenge was to use ribbon. I tend to want to keep my favorite ribbons and not use them. Go check out all the details. I used Spring for You stamp set. I just love daffodils. I tried a new coloring technique is to use watercoloring pencils. I have a long way to go but I think I did ok for the first time. I stamped the daffodils on water color paper then embossed them. The buttons were an after thought because I messed up the paper in the corner and I didn't want to start all over.
On another note, I want to encourage all out their to try for Design Team spots for different companies. I would never have dreamed that I would be good enough for being part of a Design Team a year ago but I decided why not try. Yes, I have been rejected and I was sad for a bit but I knew God had different plans. I tried again and Now I am DT for Squigglefly, Paper Temptress and Guest Designer for Pez a Doodle for June & July. I encourgae you to try. If you need help, let me know. I would be more than willing to help you out. Just email me at anitamocha@sbcglobal.net.
