Lots of Love for Lauryn

Isn't this little girl just precious? Let me introduce you....
Lauryn was diagnosed with Leukemia on March 27, 2014. She is currently hospitalized in the DC area undergoing chemotherapy to fight this terrible disease.  Lauryn is Linda Payne's granddaughter...many of you in the stamping community probably already know sweet Linda!

As news of Lauryn's illness spread via social media, many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help, so we have come up with a plan. We decided to have a Card Drive and would like to invite YOU to help by sending "happy mail" to Lauryn and her family.

Please create cards to share your love and encouragement for Lauryn and her family. Lauryn's parents are Josh and Elizabeth and she has two older siblings: Lily and Logan. We thank the Lord for this dear family and need to pray for them as they are seeking to glorify the Lord throughout this trial.

Cards can be mailed to:

Children's National
Hematology/Oncology RM 437
Lauryn Newsome
111 Michigan Ave NW
Washington DC 20010

You can find updates on Lauryn via a Facebook page that has been set up by some family. It is Fight on Little Lauryn. They have shared how encouraging it is receive a simple "like" on a Facebook status or words of love and encouragement that is posted.
Here is the fabulous group of bloggers who have joined us in promoting this Card Drive. We would love for you to hop with us as numerous bloggers have blog candy and all you need to do is leave a comment...

Hello

Hi I am finally getting a chance to create a bit. I seem to catch a cold every time I turn around. I choose to use punches and a new embossing folder called Damask from Close To My Heart along with the gold shimmer tape. The stamp set is from Some Odd Girl.

Hey Foxy

I used Wild about Love which is this months stamp set. It has so many uses. I sprayed the papers with the pearl paint that was mixed with water in a mini spray bottle. This card showcases the Chevron embossing folder that is free when you buy two packs of cardstock.

The Everything ABC Blog Hop

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter D. This may be the name
of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has
chosen as their D element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda's blog ~ Scrappy Therapy

If you came from Sharon Chapman's blog Paper Fiesta then you're on the right track!

I choose Diamonds for my "D". I used Artbooking cartridge to cut the yellow overlay and Durable Triangle Studs. The studs my not be a diamond exactly but if you put 2 together you get a diamond. I planned to do this but forgot when placing them on my layout. I used Picture My Life Surf's Up for the journal box with the teal shimmer tape. The close up shows the embossing I did on the black paper using Quaterfoil embossing folder.

I am the last stop on the hop. Thanks for hoping. I am giving away a little package of goodies for one person. I will choose from those that leave a comment here on my blog or on my Facebook page.

Spots

I am playing with the new amazing embossing folders that Close To My Heart has on special this month. When you buy 2 packs of cardstock you get a free embossing folder. The saying is from this months stamp of the month that is $5 when you spend $50. The B&T is a retired Halloween paper but love how versatile it is.

Febuary Swap

I am participating in a swap with a few other Close To My Heart Consultants. I used the Ivy Lane paper and stamp set. The layout is from one of the idea books called Heart to Heart. I used Flamingo dot and black expoy dots. Gold shimmer tape is another accent.
