Apricot page

I used the Sketch by Tamara for the layout. I joined a group on Soul Scrappers that a bunch of us were sent all the same embellishments. The challenge is to see how many embellishments one could use and in a creative way. The theme is home. I choose to document my apricot tree. We have had it for a few years but have got only a few apricots. This year the tree bloomed like crazy. I am not sure we will get many apricots because it bloomed in Feburary. All the paper is from Fun in the Sun by DCVW. I am trying to use my DP instead of buying more. Click on the photo to see it bigger.
Here is the clay embellishment that I traced with a silver gel pen to high light the letters. The hearts were colored with a sharpie. I then sprayed it with a mixture of Perfect Pearls and water. This mixture was used on the flower below too.

Sparkle Birthday

There She Goes challenge is to create a Sparkle Birthday. I used the stamp set Birdie Wishes. I chalked around the bird to create sky.

Dream

Michelle Perkett's SNR group had a challenge to use Alice Wonderland as inspiration. I used this beautiful image from Michelle Perkett's Studio. I traced the image with glitter pens. I rubbed Brilliance ink on the base. The next layer is Silver Lustre that was punched with Martha Stewart star border and than inked with gold ink. The last one was punched and than rubbed with purple ink. The ribbon is SU white satin that was rubbed with green and purple ink to match the card. The last step is gold Pez A Blings.

I know it is past as the way things go right now. The owl was colored with Distress Inks and blender pen. I then added different Distressed Stickles. The papers are out of my scrap bin.

Comparison Cards

This card uses all Paper Temptress papers except for the little flowers and leaves. I love how the Basis Light Blue is a perfect match with SU Bashful Blue. The envelope is Striped Blue Vellum that was made using a template. The note is a Nestie Label die.
This card is all SU papers that I made at Stamp class last week. Oh, if you are curious like me, I was wondering if the new SU dot folder was different from the cuttlebug Swiss dot folder. The SU has the dots space out a bit more.

Bugaboo Challenge

Ok, this week disappeared too. My husband has been off work so that has cut my crafting time down too. This awesome image is from Bugaboo Stamps. The theme is Olympics for Bugaboo Stamps challenge this week. I went with the many colors and rings (circles in my case). The circles were punched from another project. Each ring was colored with a different Distress Ink. I just laid the circle on the pad and pushed down. The saying title was created using the leftover ink on my craft sheet. There is black glitter surrounding the image. It looks much better in person. I used different Stickles on the image to add texture.

Cutting Cafe Challenge

Cutting Cafe is having a challenge to use the Colored Flower set and/or Colored mini Polkadot Backgrounds. I used both sets. My base is 5 x5. I used the Tulip die to cut the frame with the Red Flower set. It is matted with Sparkle Vermillion. The image is from Ildi Co. I die cut the flowers and leaves using Birds & Blooms die set. The top picture is the front of the card.
Here you can see a side view of the card to show the flowers have lots of dimensionals. The center of the flower is a pink Skittle from Pez A Doodle.
The inside was kept simple to have room to write a note. I am not sure who makes the Anniversary stamp. If you just click the pictures, they will come up larger.
Have a great day!
