Monterey

Scrap and Stamps challenge this week was open. Just stamp on your layout. I stamped the Basis Light Blue with shells from Sea side by Flourishes using Distress Ink Antique Linen. The title was created on the computer and printed on Kraft. I used a rope stamp from Guiding Light by Gina K. The images were stamped with Versamark and then clear embossed. I did the same with the shells which are on Columns Brown and Kraft. The open space is for writing.

Thinking of you

The top card is own that I made at a stamp class. All products are SU. I loved the card and wanted to make another.
Here is mine using paper scraps and Autumn Blessings from Sweet n Sassy Stamps. The mini clip is SU.

Pink Cat Digis

I have some exciting news to share. Melissa at Pink Cat has asked for suggestions for digis and if your idea is chosen, you get a chance to great with the image before it is released. I had suggested Hanukkah themed images . She came up two fabulous images.
The first card is using Birds Crafty Menorah. Below the circle is Light Blue Crepe. The saying was created on my computer and printed on Plasma Blue Iridescent.

This card uses Lily with Dreidel. I printed both images on water color paper. The base of the cards is Sparkle Abysee. Behind Lily is Silk Silver Lustre. This is another card with a SU sweet treat cup. I just love coming up with new ways to use these. The cup is framed with Sparkle Abysee with Pez A Blings on either side. Go to Pink Cat Studio's blog to see the other cute images.

Quick Card

The challenge this week on There She Goes Stamps is to make a 10 minute holiday card. I used the vines from Butterfly Happiness in the corners. The center is Silk Silver Lustre and the saying is from Heava Stamps. I added dots of Shimmer paint to frame the saying. I think this card needs something but can't figure out what. Let me know what you think I should add or just leave it alone. The base is White Velvet from Paper Temptress. This paper has such a wonderful smooth texture.

God Bless,
Anita

Halloween Bears

I got a chance to create with Hambo's sketch again. I just love the sketch. I had to think of a way to use the Hanukkah image for another purpose. I saw it and thought a pumpkin would cover the dreidel. You can use just about anything. I think a present would be good for a birthday or Christmas. I hope you won't get tired of these guys. I have more ideas in my head. Now, I just have to find the time to create. I used the same tutorial as yesterday's post.
God Bless,
Anita

Paper Temptress Treasure Hunt

Today is day 3 of Paper Temptress Treasure Hunt. If you missed day 1 & 2 go to the Paper Temptress blog to see where you need to go get the first two letters. I don't have a letter you need to go to Carolina's blog to get today's letter. Oh, remember that the more people enter, the more Patricia is giving away. How fantastic is that! Now on to my project. Just click on the picture to see it larger. This is a calendar page for the calaenders athat I am putting together for Christmas gifts. The size is 9" x 9". I love that the Silver Lustre comes in 12 x 12 size. I can make this page base and have leftovers for another project. I stamped the vine from Butterfly Happiness from There She Goes Stamps with versamark than embossed with Green Tinsel from Stampendous. The photos have a border of Vellum Turquosie. Since I embossed the Vellum Turquoise a little bit of white shows and gives a neat effect. The title and names were printed on Greyston Linen. The journal box which is Greystone Linen stamped the same way as the main page. I used a piece of Onyz Metallic for the camera die cut.

Thanks Page

This is the first page that I have done that does not have pictures. I like how it turned out. The challenge for Scrap and Stamp Saturday's challenge was to do something using the theme What are you thankful for. I have to say that I find theme challenges harder at times than color or sketch challenges. I need the push to try something different and that is one of many reasons I love challenges. I made this page for me. I need to be reminded that I am blessed in many ways even through the roller coaster ride of life. The two journal boxes are part of the Pierced Tag set from Angels Landing. They are digis so I can make them any size. The brown flowers are from Fred She Said. I stamped the title on retired SU tags using Studio G purple ink. The ribbon is Mary Arts. I used Studio G flower stamps with Distressed Ink Old Paint. Paper Play Challenge was to use your favorite embellishment. I used Pez A Doodle Skittles in the center of the flowers.

Hambo sketch

I got this sketch done way before the deadline. Go to Hogs & Sketches to enter. This cute digi is Hambo Stamps. Monica & Tim donated it to Operation Write Home. I had fun coloring these cute bears. The saying was done on my computer and punched out with large heart SU punch. I love that you can get the shapes digital and create tons of stuff. The DP is Fun in the Sun by DCVW. http://hogsandsketches.blogspot.com/

Hanukkah Card 2

Heavea Stamps donated me this wonderful saying for the Hanukkah cards I am making for Operation Write Home. I used Tuesday Morning Sketches for the LO. I have to admit the flower was an afterthought because I forgot the Platinum Shimmer was still wet so I got some where I didn't want it. I used the 1/2" punch to make the circles and added Pez A Doodles Pez A Bling in the center. I made the circles of Shimmer paint with turning a paint brush upside down.
This fits Stamp TV's Potluck Friday challenge of using only a saying.

Pumpkin Frog

This weeks challenge for Whimsy Stamps is embossing of any type. This cute frog is so fun to color. I tried coloring with pencils and baby oil. I was thinking of pumpkins when I colored him. The sky is Studio G silver and the water is DI Faded Blue Jeans. It came out ok for the first time using a brayer and the new coloring technique for me. The moon is Adriondack paint Lemonade. Oh, they are having a DT call so I am putting my name in the hat. Wish me luck. :) If you are interested in putting your name in the hat, go to the challenge blog for details. If you have never tried out for a DT spot, I encourage you to try.

Cake

These are some of the favorite pictures of my son. He is smiling and not showing his grumpy teenager look. I used a digital kit called What a Hoot by Eva Marina for the page. The page was printed on Iridescent Potion Ivory. I then mounted the page on Basis Brown. I love that the shimmer on the paper shows through the printed image. If you click on the picture, you will see what I mean. I had not thought of printing on anything but white. I printed some digital flowers on Basis Blue and they came out fantastically. I will try to post the picture soon.
Sorry this post is a little off in my thoughts tired and need to get this posted.
The papers are from Paper Temptress.

Hanukkah Card

This is a simple card that I made for Operation Write Home. I was talking to Fabre and she said that they were needed some Hanukkah cards. This stamp is from SU. The oval and flowers are part of the blue by the sheet set. I stamped in Navy Brilliance ink and colored the menorah with Shimmer paint. The Silver lustre behind the oval is from Paper Temptress. The texture of the paper helps to make a quick card. Tracey has WCD challenge to make a project using any product from her store. Tomorrow is the last day to enter.

Thank You Album

Yeah! This album is finally done. It was tough coming up with some embellishments because it all had to be manly. I used the anchor from Guiding Light from Gina K. The thank you sign and work ahead were done on my computer. I used distress stickels on the brads. All pages are different DP and Basis Brown. I used Russo Incandescent and Saphire Mettallic.
Off to create something girly. I am craving flowers, glitter and pink.

Andrew Smiling

Here is another calendar page. I am going to tag them calendar09 for those who want to see all the pages. This is a rare photo of my son. 98% of the time he has the grumpy teenage look. I can't believe looking at this photo that he is 18 & at college. I used Guiding Light from Gina K for the stamped images. I colored with Distress Inks and a SU blender pen. The base is Basis Blue. I pulled out a piece of Vellum Parchment White to create the column on the sketch. This is last weeks challenge.

Star Photographer

This is an odd size page. It is 8 1/4 x 9. This part of the calendar that I make for gifts for Christmas. The sketch is a challenge fro Gina K's Oct Release Party. The base is Basis Red. For a touch of glitter without the mess, I used Nero Incandescent. The star DP is a Target $1 find. It is a pack of paper for a calender. The journaling is done on White Grandee. The stars were punched with die for Big Shot using Red Ruche. The star stamp on the photo, stars and border on red is part of the set Little Tees from Gina K.

Pink Maggie

Click on photo to make larger

This cute image is called Pink Ribbon Maggie from Digital Delights by Louby Loo and if you hurry over it is free. She is just adorable. The colors were part of Stamp Tv's color challenge last week. The sketch is for Tuesday Morning. Maggie is colored with Twinkling H2O's. The sentiment is from H&M stamps. I just love the sparkle in Mountain Rose Glimmer and Azelea Mettallic because it adds lots to the card with little effort. The flowers and image are popped up which fits Pile it On Challenge. One last challege is CCEE Stampers to use a digital image.
