Lustre card set

Here is a card set that I made with the new Silver Lustre. I love the silky feel of this paper. I used both Laser Silver Lustre & Vintage Silver Lustre on this set. I love how the paper absorbs the ink and still shines through beautifully. The tan is from my stash. I used Vermillion Sparkle Cardstock, Noir Sparkle Cardstock, Blanc Sparkle Cardstock. I was suprised how well the colors showed through on the red. I love all the sparkle in the paper. All the glitter without the mess.

Blue & Brown

This card fits two challenges. One is Colour Create challenge this week was to use blue and brown on a card. The second challenge is to do a fancy fold on a card for Sweet n Sassy's Feb. Release Party. I used Hugs for Janessa from Sweet n Sassy. The fold is a set of templates that I downloaded from the Cutting Cafe. I used paper from my scrap bin. The ribbon is from Michaels and it came pleated.

This card I made for the Sweet N Sassy fancy fold challenge. I used a Squigglefly image called mailbox bird and PT paper sno cone, grapsicle, and pink. I used twinkling H2O's to color my bird and mailbox to give it a little sparkle. I used a spring fold to pop up the card.

Bunny

This card I made for the Papertake Weekly challenge of hot chocolate, and Belli Challenge of using a color that you hate. I hate using orange on my cards.
The bunny is Victoria Case stamps.

I made a small top note bag using my top notes.

Sorry to be absent again

My life is just crazy. I was hopping to get some play time today. My husband wants to switch the table I am using for another one. This means a major clean up job. Double sided paper

I have been experitmenting on printing double sided paper. I hope to have photos in a couple days. I am amazed that the paper held up well. Off to try something more and to use the paper. Have a great Sunday.

Printing Digital Paper on Paper Temptress paper

I have heard a couple times that they wish Patrica carried designer papers. I have found a way to combine our love for designer papers and Paper Temptress papers. Warning reading this may result in a bigger addiction to PT paper. LOL!
Here is a card I did with the digital paper from My Grafico. I was surprised to learn that the sparkle on the sparkle cardstock shone through the images. The images are bright and crisp. When I printed on the paper, I set my printer for presentation paper and set my printer to advanced to print photos. I found this made much cleaner images. I have printed on Heavenly White Ultrasmooth and Vellum Bristol. Unfortunately, I couldn't capture a photo that showed the difference between Heavenly & Vellum. The Heavenly produced a much crisper brighter paper than the Vellum. I set my printer to the same settings as I did for Sparkle Cardstock. Now, Some may be asking about the price of printing your own. Melanie pointed out that you actually save money and space. I know I have buoghten paper packs and have paper sitting around that I don't like or can't figure out a way to use it. Also, if you are trying to make a set of cards, you will not run out of your designer paper.

My Grafico has some wonderful paper packs for sale at reasonable prices.
My Shabby Princess has some wonderful digital paper sets for free.
I hope next week to share what I have learned about which paper to use for digital images. I would love to see what you do with making your own Designer Paper on Paper Temptress paper.
