This is the first page that I have done that does not have pictures. I like how it turned out. The challenge for Scrap and Stamp Saturday's challenge was to do something using the theme What are you thankful for. I have to say that I find theme challenges harder at times than color or sketch challenges. I need the push to try something different and that is one of many reasons I love challenges. I made this page for me. I need to be reminded that I am blessed in many ways even through the roller coaster ride of life. The two journal boxes are part of the Pierced Tag set from Angels Landing. They are digis so I can make them any size. The brown flowers are from Fred She Said. I stamped the title on retired SU tags using Studio G purple ink. The ribbon is Mary Arts. I used Studio G flower stamps with Distressed Ink Old Paint. Paper Play Challenge was to use your favorite embellishment. I used Pez A Doodle Skittles in the center of the flowers.

Hambo sketch

I got this sketch done way before the deadline. Go to Hogs & Sketches to enter. This cute digi is Hambo Stamps. Monica & Tim donated it to Operation Write Home. I had fun coloring these cute bears. The saying was done on my computer and punched out with large heart SU punch. I love that you can get the shapes digital and create tons of stuff. The DP is Fun in the Sun by DCVW. http://hogsandsketches.blogspot.com/

Hanukkah Card 2

Heavea Stamps donated me this wonderful saying for the Hanukkah cards I am making for Operation Write Home. I used Tuesday Morning Sketches for the LO. I have to admit the flower was an afterthought because I forgot the Platinum Shimmer was still wet so I got some where I didn't want it. I used the 1/2" punch to make the circles and added Pez A Doodles Pez A Bling in the center. I made the circles of Shimmer paint with turning a paint brush upside down.
This fits Stamp TV's Potluck Friday challenge of using only a saying.
Pumpkin Frog

This weeks challenge for Whimsy Stamps is embossing of any type. This cute frog is so fun to color. I tried coloring with pencils and baby oil. I was thinking of pumpkins when I colored him. The sky is Studio G silver and the water is DI Faded Blue Jeans. It came out ok for the first time using a brayer and the new coloring technique for me. The moon is Adriondack paint Lemonade. Oh, they are having a DT call so I am putting my name in the hat. Wish me luck. :) If you are interested in putting your name in the hat, go to the challenge blog for details. If you have never tried out for a DT spot, I encourage you to try.Other challenges-

Cake
These are some of the favorite pictures of my son. He is smiling and not showing his grumpy teenager look. I used a digital kit called What a Hoot by Eva Marina for the page. The page was printed on Iridescent Potion Ivory. I then mounted the page on Basis Brown. I love that the shimmer on the paper shows through the printed image. If you click on the picture, you will see what I mean. I had not thought of printing on anything but white. I printed some digital flowers on Basis Blue and they came out fantastically. I will try to post the picture soon.Sorry this post is a little off in my thoughts tired and need to get this posted.
The papers are from Paper Temptress.
