Yeah! I finally get to tell you that I made the Inspired Stamps design team. This week the DT are featuring Characters. I choose His Little Ones- a girl studying. She is one of my favorite images because she reminds me of my daughter. She is colored with Prismas and paper pieced with Echo Park DSP. The saying is from the set Strength. The flowers are from 1 inch flowers.

Welcome to Non Traditional Colors challenge with Ribbon Carousel Challenge. This means if you make a Christmas card no greens or reds or a Valentines card no pinks or reds. Our wonderful sponsor is Paper and Such.

I created a Valentine card that has Kody Rocks from Some Odd Girl. I colored him with Prismas. Blue Ruche frames the image. The Mushroom brown Bag and Abysee Sparkle were embossed than sanded and inked. Sulphar Blue Seam Binding was added. I just love how easy the seam binding is to work with. I roughed up the edges of the ribbon a bit to go with the rocker image. The papers can be found at Paper Temptress.

This page is for Authentique's sketch challenge. I didn't have 12x12 Authentique paper that would match these pictures. I used Glowing to use for the border that I colored with Lime Colorbox ink. The pictures are framed with paper from Gathering that was inked with Lime Colorbox ink. Everything was sprayed with different smooch sprays. Here is a close up of the title. The accents are twine that I made into circles. The twine was dyed with reinker and water. I will have a tutorial in the future on how to do this.

Here you can see the white netting and white satin binding colored with the same ink. All ribbon and netting is from Ribbon Carousel.com.

My first project is a Holiday project. This was a gift for a friends sons. I used Cafe' Ian for the front. I used a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers for the paper behind the image. I used white felt to mount the image. A Stampin Up button frames the sentiment. Walnut Brown & Sulphur Blue Vintage Seam Binding.

This is the inside of the hot coco holder. The cute seal is Robbie Hot Chocolate digi. Pearls were used for the snow.

My second project is an every day card. I choose the color scheme based on 5/8" Orange/Black Solid Dot ribbon. The DSP is Glowing from Authentique that was colored with Distress Ink. The charms were created using Tim Holtz's Tag Day 10. It fits Simon Says Stamp challenge to use techniques learned from Tim's 12 days of tags.

This weeks amazing challenge at Ribbon Carousel is to use the inspiration photos. Go to the Ribbon Carousel blog to see the photos and the amazing work by the other DTs.

I used the new amazing Festive Berries Distress Ink on the Ranger manilla tag. Then stamped the snowflakes using Faded Blue Jean Distress ink. I added Rock Candy Crackle paint on top. Then rubbed Fired Brick Distress Ink on top and edges. The snowflake was cute using SU die with DCVW glitter paper. The circle is matted with red felt. The stamp sets are from There She Goes. The 1/16" Red & White twisted rope is on the bottom of the tag and 1/4" White Satin ribbon is at the top of the tag.

Ok, I am trying something new with photos. This photo was scanned then edited in photoshop. Not sure about the picture but it definitely shows the texture. I took a tag and rubbed evergreen distress ink (not sure exact name) on it than embossed with timber folder that had versamark. I then added white embossing powder to help the embossing stand out. The word joy was cut using a retired Stampin Up Big shot die than dipped in versamark and heat embossed. The flower is five petal punch. The mushroom brown bag was sanded after embossing to show the kraft. The base is Pool Treasures. This was inspired by Tim Holtz's tag day 1. This was also for Inspired by challenge. I went with the word Joy in the photo.

This was created for Greeting Farm Movie night challenge on SCS. My movie is the Santa Clause series because Santa is always drinking hot coco. This is a hot coco folder. This card is for the clouds challenge (DEC11VSNMINI5 ). I used Penguin Love from There She Goes. The clouds were cut with a Sweet n Sassy die. Viva Decor was used for snow and liquid enamal was used for snow balls. The trees have liquid pearls.

My husband served in the Air Force and my family volunteers with United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps which is a youth organization. I created this card using Black Seam Binding and White Swiss Dot Ribbon from Ribbon Carousel. Sparkle Blanc is the base. Onyz Metallic was embossed with Snow Flowers. The image is from Phindy's Place and fits Phindy's Place challenge to use a Phindy image. The pearls are Pizzazz Aplenty.

MY Memories Studio Giveaway

I got the opportunity to try My Memories software. I at first thought I didn't need it because I have photoshop but found that is easier to use and fun. It has a lot of features that I haven't even had time to learn.
This page is a hybrid page. I created the photos of the starfish in My Memories and printed them out. The title was created in My Memories too. It was fun playing with new ways to use photos. The shells were cut with Cricut.
The photos were created in my Memories. I hand cut them out and add Viva Decor to scallops for dimensions.
This last page is a complete digital page using the same photo. I love the look of just coloring part of the photo. I have to say that I really enjoyed the speed of getting a page done. I do like the feel of paper but will be using this for some pages.

“The creative blogging community is coming together this weekend to help one of our friends, Julie Ranae. You may know her as the Design Team Coordinator for many wonderful companies from bakers twine, die cuts, rubber stamps and more. What many people don’t know about Julie Ranae is that she has had some pretty major dental surgeries in her lifetime due to medication she had to take as a child. It was in her plans to think about having all of her teeth replaced at some point in the next 5 years, a decision that was pretty easy to plan out. But then it happened…she chipped her front teeth on a weekend a month ago. The dentist told her there was no way to save them & that it was his recommendation that she give in and have them all her teeth removed soon, but for that day, they needed to get her front teeth done so her gums could begin to heal. He said he would 'work out payments with her to have ALL this work done...but when she called to make her appt for the first step of impressions, they told her the amount of money that was needed and that the 'payments' applied only to the two teeth that were extracted that day. Her husband Paul was with her & that too, was his understanding as well. So this is how she has found herself in this situation…Needing at least $4000 to get started and another $3000 to finish the process…a total of $7000.

Nicole Rixon, owner of Sweet Stamp Shop put together this benefit after finding out about this situation and before Julie Ranae knew it, it took flight!Because she is an event organizer by trade, she has taken on the job of organizing all of the blogs in this hop as her way of ‘working overtime’ for what she needs, the same as if she were able to work overtime at an outside job to pay for the work to be done.It is the goal of all of these generous friends & sponsors to help make this situation more do-able for our friend so that she can share a brand new smile with all of us soon. Welcome to the October 1st challenge for Through the Craft Room Door. Our challenge this time is Pink and White with lots of bling or pearls. Oh, no squares or rectangles. Our wonderful sponsor is Pizzazz Aplenty. There is an awesome goodie bag.

I choose to create a Top Note Box and little note card. The note card is ok shape since it has some shape to it. I used Basis Pink. Rose Quartz Metallic and Sparkle Blanc for my papers from Paper Temptress. Pretty in Pink ink was used to stamp the ribbon on the pink. I framed Princess Jennifer Latte Breast Cancer Awarness from The Stamping Boutique with 5 mm pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty. 4mm pink pearls were used on the note card. The ribbon is from my stash. The saying on the note card was heat embossed with Melon Mambo embossing powder.
This is what is inside the box. It is a full rosary with the breast cancer bead for Our Fathers. This set is for our church auction next week. If interested in a rosary, just leave a comment with your information.

Yummy Marshmallows

Here is the edited page. Below you can see the original. The idea was given to me by my hubby. It fills in the blanks space.
This page shows my daughter enjoying roasting marshmallows during our summer vacation. I created the title in photo shop and then printed them out. I used a SU punch to cut them out. The little element at the bottom is supposed to be a fire. Not sure about it. It definitely looks better IRL. As I look at this page it needs something more will post it again when i add the fix.

Here is a close up of Wee Henrieta Witch from Hambo Stamps. I colored with Prisma Pencils. I added Gunmetal Stickeles to her hat and dress. Silver Viva Decor pen was used around image and on hat band.
Here you can see the whole treat box. It is the skull treat box from Cutting cafe. I embossed with SU spider web folder. The ribbon is from my stash.

This card uses Banana Kid from Hambo Stamps. This fits this weeks Hambo Hoedown challenge to use something from the house. I choose to try an idea I saw on another blog. To glue a used dryer sheet to a piece of card stock than dry emboss it. I used a vertical strips folder from Stampin Up. I love the texture this gives. The papers are Sparkle Noir, Sparkle Mangue, & Sparkle Noir from Paper Temptress. The black seam binding is from Ribbon Carousel. The yellow ribbon is from my stash. Both cards were for Paper Crafts Magazine last call. I followed sketch 1. I am trying my hand at CAS cards. I like them both. They both use Paper Temptress paper. I got myself over the hurdle of being afraid to enter. Now to try again. I did both at the last moment. I wish you could see them in IRL and the texture is just amazing but hard to photograph.

My card uses Light Green Basis, Basis Gray, Rose Quartz Metallic, & Sparkle Blanc from Paper Temptress. I colored the image with prisma pencils. I added glossy accents to bubbles and liquid white enamel. I have to confess that the bath tub had to be paper pieced because there is a big ink stain. The flowers are covering another boo boo. So be creative to hid the mistakes is the lesson learned here. The seam binding is from Ribbon Carousel. The image is from There She Goes and is called Rejuvenate.

I am slowly learning how to create different shadows. The papers are retired SU. I used Viva Decor brown around the image. The seam binding is from Ribbon Carousel. The top note was embossed after adding the flowers. It fits Do you Stack up Challenge to have texture.
This card is for Phindy's Place Challenge to use stripes. The dress was supposed to have stickles but accidentally grabbed the liquid pearls. I am not sure about it.

I have been battling allergies lately so not much crafting going. I did get a DT projects done so those will be coming up soon. I make scrapbook calendars for family for Christmas. This is one of the pages. It fits Drunken Stampers challenge to show us what you did this summer. My husband and daughter took a ride during our vacation to the Oregon Coast. I didn't go on the ride so no photos of me on a horse. I used Kraft 12x12 for the base and Chocolate chip to mat photos and journal box.
